Dear Travelers, ISB Alums, and Friends Old and New,

SAN ANTONIO, South Texas and Central Texas ISB-ings and other ISB-ings who would like to join us---
The San Antonio "Chapter" of the ISB-TEXAS Connection will get together for dinner and conversation on
Sunday, November 11th at 5:30 p.m.
at the Alamo Cafe,
Highway 281 between Bitters and Brookhollow, 14250 San Pedro, San Antonio, TX 78232
I'm thinking it'll probably be cocktails and conversation at 5:30, dinner closer to 6:30-----

I posted a Cruise Event on Facebook Page ISB Network Alumni Association about an ISB Cruise to the Mexican Riviera and asked that only those seriously interested in cruising to post under the comment. I was overwhelmed by the response and then was asked if I would ask the BOD if they would consider the Cruise as a Reunion event. I asked the BOD if would consider the cruise when they met and reported back to me. It was determined by the BOD that they want to keep the Reunions as a land event and they they have been done in he past.

Yes, I did. I was there for 2.5 years from '71-'73. Being the youngest of five, I have a few siblings some of you may know, including Karen (FitzGerald) Jacobs, Chris (FitzGerald) Gates, and Robert FitzGerald, but I endearingly call him Bob. If we're lucky, my brother will also be at this reunion, which will be our first. The sisters are experts at this reunion thing, as I think this is their third or forth! See you in Broomsfield, future friends!
I'm looking forward to this! You'll know me by the little picture of a kindergartener I have on my badge! Ha!
Since graduating from ISB I became a scuba diving instructor. I started working in Pattaya (10 years) and moved on to Phuket. After 14 years in the scuba diving business, I gave away my dive gear and looked for different work. I jumped from job to job not really liking anything in particular. I opened an automobile-workshop, this I stayed with for 7 years. After closing the workshop, I decided to move into the insurance business. Worked for a Thai insurance company as branch manager in Bangkok for 2 years. During that time, my knowledge of Thai improved dramatically.
This morning I was thinking about life, our journeys, the paths we have taken and those yet to be chosen. In 1973 I thought I'd never see any of my friends from Bangkok again, ever. I remember my absolute joy when in 1998 I stumbled across the ISB Network Alumni Association just months before the Long Beach reunion! I immediately called my twin sister Marian, signed us up and haven't missed a reunion since. For me, every reunion is a Sentimental Journey...

Gonna take a Sentimental Journey,
Gonna set my heart at ease.

Former board member, John Dammon '69 passed away suddenly on February 3. He was visiting his brother James '68 in Mississippi on his way home from his Dad's funeral in Louisiana. John's wife is Babette Trout Dammon, '72.
Babette and John both served on the board of the alumni association for a number of years. John was the ISB Network's first treasurer after incorporation.
